Kia ora! I’m
Jaxon Ingold.
I am a masters student at Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland in Aotearoa New Zealand
I am a recent graduate of Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland in Aotearoa New Zealand. I have completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Honours (BScH) in Earth Sciences, and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same field. My research interests lie in the areas of geohazard, coastal science, and geographic information science, particularly focusing on natural hazard impacts and effective risk management and communication. Studying in New Zealand provides many great opportunities and case studies within these fields.
Outside of my studies you are likely to find me at one of Auckland's many beaches, or exploring our local maunga. In my spare time I also enjoy reading, walking, and spending time with friends and family. During the summer I play casual tennis and enjoy water-skiing and wakeboarding - however in the winter the water gets rather chilly!
I am excited to continue research and work in these areas as I progress in my career, and am seeking positions that can allow me to further my knowledge and experience. If you are interested in working with me please get in touch using the contact details below.
